On March 12 and March 14, 2010, there are edits that are crossed out never to be viewed again. How did that come about? I have never seen crossed-out revisions anywhere else. Under Daniel's pictue, under "genres", the last one says "black comedy". I think you should change that to somthing else because Daniel Tosh makes fun of all races, white, black, Asian, Indian, Mexican, etc. To me, it makes it seem like Wikipedia is calling him a hater of black people and that he only makes fun of black people when he is talking about race. It would make more since if you would please change the "black comedy" part to somthing more sutible that fits all races, even whites. I do not know is he is a raciest, but you are making it seem like he is to the average person who goes onto Wikipedia and looks up Daniel Tosh to get to know more about him. Please take my request into consideration, and I would give you a suggestion of what that change could be, but it is too wordy. |

Why was the page for True Stories I Made Up deleted? I viewed it before I got my account and it looke okay, it had a picture, references, external links, an infobox, and content. Why was it deleted but the page for Completely Serious is still up? And how come there isn't a page for Happy Thoughts which aired on Comedy Central and is also a DVD release? We can get plenty of sources for the pages, but how come we don't have them? :I added a little bit for the sake of WP:NPOV, or at least, my stab at it. This thing smacks of WP:RECENTISM to me, and I have a feeling that the entire paragraph ought to be 86'd (or chopped to a single sentence) because most of the coverage seems to be scandal mongering from opinion blogs, with little-to-no solid reliable sources. ::Some of the language seems to be pretty biased. For example, those in support of his jokes are represented by famous comedians, whereas his opposition is represented by a blog calling him "Douche.0." Maybe a women's rights organization would be more representative of his opposition? To avoid bias and scandal-mongering sources, I think the section could really be cut down to: |
|||
::"On July 10, 2012, a blog titled Cookies for Breakfast published an account by an unnamed woman in which Tosh made a series of jokes about rape at the Laugh Factory. Allegedly, after the woman called out "Actually, rape jokes are never funny!", Tosh responded "wouldn’t it be funny if that girl got raped by like, 5 guys right now?"[17][18]. Later that day Tosh issued an apology on Twitter.[19]" RachulAdmas (talk) 18:06, 12 July 2012 (UTC) |

:::I agree with the point about needing better representation of the opposition. How about a quote from this Jezebel article? 01:34, 13 July 2012 (UTC) |
|||
::::Well, as Louis C.K. said on The Daily Show yesterday, "it's a fight between comedians and bloggers," as well as "a fight between comedians and feminists." Those are the two sides currently being represented in the article...though I agree that the whole section out ought to be smaller, considering the ten year test. - If the special had its own page, it would be on the article page. Since it doesn't, that information is on the Tosh article. Most well-documented TV shows on Wikipedia have viewership information, not to mention movies. tedder (talk) 03:05, 17 April 2011 (UTC)
Comedy discography
Why was the page for True Stories I Made Up deleted? I viewed it before I got my account and it looke okay, it had a picture, references, external links, an infobox, and content. Why was it deleted but the page for Completely Serious is still up? And how come there isn't a page for Happy Thoughts which aired on Comedy Central and is also a DVD release? We can get plenty of sources for the pages, but how come we don't have them? TomUSA My talk page 22:45, 2 July 2011 (UTC)
The rape joke thing
There's an actual source about it here on ThinkProgress http://thinkprogress.org/alyssa/2012/07/10/514002/daniel-tosh-gang-rape/ if anyone wants to make use of it. I think it could possibly be warranted to write a sentence or two about the incident, but not a whole section. — Jeraphine Gryphon (talk) 20:21, 10 July 2012 (UTC)

- I added a little bit for the sake of WP:NPOV, or at least, my stab at it. This thing smacks of WP:RECENTISM to me, and I have a feeling that the entire paragraph ought to be 86'd (or chopped to a single sentence) because most of the coverage seems to be scandal mongering from opinion blogs, with little-to-no solid reliable sources. But while it's still here, I've attempted to make it balanced. ColorOfSuffering (talk) 22:45, 11 July 2012 (UTC)
- Some of the language seems to be pretty biased. For example, those in support of his jokes are represented by famous comedians, whereas his opposition is represented by a blog calling him "Douche.0." Maybe a women's rights organization would be more representative of his opposition? To avoid bias and scandal-mongering sources, I think the section could really be cut down to:
- "On July 10, 2012, a blog titled Cookies for Breakfast published an account by an unnamed woman in which Tosh made a series of jokes about rape at the Laugh Factory. Allegedly, after the woman called out "Actually, rape jokes are never funny!", Tosh responded "wouldn’t it be funny if that girl got raped by like, 5 guys right now?"[17][18]. Later that day Tosh issued an apology on Twitter.[19]" RachulAdmas (talk) 18:06, 12 July 2012 (UTC)
- I agree with the point about needing better representation of the opposition. How about a quote from this Jezebel article? [1] — Preceding unsigned comment added by Euchrid (talk • contribs) 01:34, 13 July 2012 (UTC)
- Well, as Louis C.K. said on The Daily Show yesterday, "it's a fight between comedians and bloggers," as well as "a fight between comedians and feminists." Those are the two sides currently being represented in the article...though I agree that the whole section out ought to be smaller, considering the ten year test. Maybe we just give it some time to let the news spike die down, then trim appropriately? ColorOfSuffering (talk) 23:48, 17 July 2012 (UTC)
