Foroud Fouladvand was an Iranian patriot who used to live in London until Jan 2007 when he embarked on a journey towards Turkey. His close family members released a formal statement at the time indicating his capture or possibly his assassination by Iranian Intelligence on the border between Iran and turkey. It was not clear how he was captured and if he was killed in a battle on the border or whether he was captured and transferred to Iranian infamous prison Evin. There were different theories as to what happened to him and to his two companions on this perilous journey. BBC Persian Website simultaneously published an article regarding a leader of a resistance Kurdish group “known” as Dr Avvat (probably a nick name) along with his two companions who perished in the border between Iran and Turkey in a battle between Iranian revolutionary guard and Padjak group in an area very close to the place where Dr Fouladvand disappeared! It appears very convincing to assume Dr Avvat and his two companions indeed could have been Dr Fouladvand and his companions.
There seems that this kidnapping/assassination was well planned in advance by group(s) long before infact it happened. It is very likely that at least one of the people who accompanied him (maybe one of the two companions!) to the Turkey would have been an agent who informed the Iranian intelligence of Mr Fouladvand’s whereabouts.
Shortly after Mr Fouladvand disappearance, the Kingdom assembly of Iran was overtaken by some infamous Iranian vigilante who accepted responsibility of some of the most vicious acts including bombing of a mosque in Shiraz, Iran. While Mr Fouladvand was alive he never committed such atrocities; nor did he ever approve of killing innocent people. Iranian government which were always frightened to mention his name while he was alive; now started to make such propaganda against him. As if they knew he would be no risk to them anymore!
People running the Kingdom assembly website insisted on Mr Fouladvand still being alive and that it is him who orders for bombing and all other terrorist activities; however, they were clearly unable to present any recorded voice or clips from their alleged leader.
Mr Fouladvand’s close friends including Dr Ansari, Pari Saffari and his wife and children strongly denied any connection between Mr Fouladvand and this new group which seemed to have strong political connections with both Iranian and some of the Western countries. Their website at the time accepted full responsibility for the atrocities caused by them in Shiraz while they come on some of the western TVs and boasted about their activities without having any fear of prosecution for what they had committed and they had a landline phone which could easily be traced; however, the police in the involved countries (England and the US ) did not make the slightest move against them to prevent their activities!
To make matters worse, Iranian embassy in London which at the time was fully active did not take any legal action against their base in London in spite of their well-known location, landline phone and named people who lived in local authorities housing estates!
It seems reasonable to assume the whole movement was exceptionally well-planned to first get rid of Mr Fouladvand and his movement and then tarnish his reputation by relating him to some infamous people who have no hesitation to kill! Therefore, Mr Fouladvand would not be deemed as a martyr from the public’s viewpoint and his movements will soon be forgotten.
However, what the Iranian politicians and their masterminds in western countries failed to understand was the fact that the movement started by Fouladvand grew a deep root in the public’s heart and was followed by hundreds of people like Fouladvand. The terminology created by Fouladvand is being used by all the followers even though they deny him. Terms like
Tazi instead of Arab, Doroud instead of Salam, the theory of Salman Farsi although had been mentioned before had never been openly discussed or explained to the public. The assassination of Dr Fouladvand was a miscalculation by Iranian government which did not prevent his movement, but indeed created a space for hundreds of people to publicise what he started as a way of disillusioning Iranian towards the Islamic principles as opposed to rich Persian culture
