Scottish Premier League
Season2012-13

The 2012–13 Scottish Premier League will be the fifteenth season of the Scottish Premier League, the highest division of Scottish football, since its inception in 1998. The season will start on 4 August 2012[1] and is expected to end in May 2013.[citation needed]

A total of twelve teams are contesting the league: eleven sides that competed in the 2011–12 SPL and one club promoted from the First Division.

As of 10 April 2012, the following teams have mathematically achieved qualification for the 2012–13 season.[2] They are listed below in alphabetical order.

  3. ^ On March 2012, Ross County stated that Victoria Park would be ready by the start of the SPL season. Should they fail to do that in time, they have the option of groundsharing with Inverness Caledonian Thistle at the Caledonian Stadium.
