Vandalism

As much as I'm loathe to protect a Talk page, given Tosh told everybody to vandalize his page and the already excessive vandalism, I feel there's no other choice. Q T C 04:13, 28 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

LOL, way to go!! JBsupreme (talk) 04:37, 28 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
What's the deal with the 2 deletions? Both admins click the wrong button, or..? --Cybercobra (talk) 04:41, 28 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Poor man's rev-delete. Q T C 04:54, 28 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I'm pretty sure his show is going to get canceled anyhow, due to a curtailment of puke. JBsupreme (talk) 09:20, 28 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Not likely. Unlike you, most people have a sense of humor and aren't lame enough to take this site that seriously. Come on, it's not like this is a real encyclopedia. PÆon (talk) 08:10, 29 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I only did it because he asked me to. I do not normally do things like that on Wikipedia. --Gebl Gebl Gebl (talk) 04:10, 13 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Requested addition

{{editprotected}} The following is submitted for administrator consideration in the Career section after the sentence that ends with "Premium Blend":

He also hosted a local late-night comedy show in Florida called Ten and served as a spokesperson in Taco Bell commercials.[1]

Yes! That means, by definition, that my sourced Wikipedia-quality sentence is also the most interesting recent edit on this page. MENTION ME ON THE AIR TOSH! RevelationDirect (talk) 00:47, 30 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Should be indefinitely semi-protected

This article should be semi-protected indefinitely until flagged revisions can be put into place. JBsupreme (talk) 05:41, 4 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know what flagged reviusions mean but I agree with the continuing protection. Lots42 (talk) 00:20, 6 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Some edits

On March 12 and March 14, 2010, there are edits that are crossed out never to be viewed again. How did that come about? I have never seen crossed-out revisions anywhere else. How common are crossed-out edits like that and how is it decided to cross them out? I'm just curious about this, since it is unusual. Thanks. Backtable Speak to meconcerning my deeds. 03:40, 20 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Well Wikipedia is open to absolutely anyone. Any person could add defamatory information, personal contact information, or any other number of egregious unwanted content. These are times when it's beneficial to Wikipedia to strike out edits to make them invisible to non-admin users. It's a method to cover our butts, so-to-speak. Dawnseeker2000 03:53, 20 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, so there could have been personal contact information involved in there or something like that. That explanation makes sense. Thanks. Backtable Speak to meconcerning my deeds. 01:58, 21 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, Tosh asked his viewers on Tosh.0 to vandalize his page. In order to make sure no one saw those edits, they were deleted. That way, there wouldn't be so much traffic just to see certain diffs. Eagles 24/7 (C) 02:25, 21 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
They also crossed the legal boundary of WP:BLP. Note the difference between a policy or suggestion on Wikipedia and a legal issue. The latter requires quick and more severe action be taken. tedder (talk) 05:37, 21 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Edit request from 98.230.67.211, 3 June 2010

{{editsemiprotected}} Under Daniel's pictue, under "genres", the last one says "black comedy". I think you should change that to somthing else because Daniel Tosh makes fun of all races, white, black, Asian, Indian, Mexican, etc. To me, it makes it seem like Wikipedia is calling him a hater of black people and that he only makes fun of black people when he is talking about race. It would make more since if you would please change the "black comedy" part to somthing more sutible that fits all races, even whites. I do not know is he is a raciest, but you are making it seem like he is to the average person who goes onto Wikipedia and looks up Daniel Tosh to get to know more about him. Please take my request into consideration, and I would give you a suggestion of what that change could be, but it is too wordy. 98.230.67.211 (talk) 00:42, 3 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Black comedy has nothing to do with race. It just means that the comedy has controversial subject matter. ... discospinster talk 01:28, 3 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Would be fucking nice if you are going to protect a page to make sure the fucking grammar and spelling are correct. Douche bags "He appeared as one of the New Faces at the 1998 at Just for Laughs in Montreal"

I have fixed the grammar. Next time, please be civil with your requests, or they will be ignored or reverted. Eagles 24/7 (C) 17:46, 25 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Fake Bio?

Is the biography faked? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mydogtrouble (talk • contribs) 20:00, 11 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Is Daniel Tosh a German comedian or an American comedian of German descent?

The biography lists Mr. Tosh as a German standup entertainer; however, he is listed as an American national. Should he be listed as an American entertainer of German-descent instead? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wonder J (talk • contribs) 18:18, 19 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

American comedian of German descent, or a German American if you will. TomUSA 20:04, 6 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Reads like a promotion

I've never seen a wikipedia article reference someones show with the (share). How in the world is the viewership of someones show (down to the share) encyclopedic? I've seen products listed as promotions and it appears it doesn't stop there.Woods01 (talk) 01:54, 17 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If the special had its own page, it would be on the article page. Since it doesn't, that information is on the Tosh article. Most well-documented TV shows on Wikipedia have viewership information, not to mention movies. tedder (talk) 03:05, 17 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Comedy discography

Why was the page for True Stories I Made Up deleted? I viewed it before I got my account and it looke okay, it had a picture, references, external links, an infobox, and content. Why was it deleted but the page for Completely Serious is still up? And how come there isn't a page for Happy Thoughts which aired on Comedy Central and is also a DVD release? We can get plenty of sources for the pages, but how come we don't have them? TomUSA My talk page 22:45, 2 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
