Michael James Way , better known as Mikey Way is the bassist of the group My Chemical Romance and the younger brother of frontman Gerard Way . He was born on September 10, 1980 in Newark , New Jersey.

BIOGRAPHY Born and raised in Newark , New Jersey . Mikey and Gerard are brothers, and descendants of Scots and Italians . Before Joining MCR, Mikey Tryed to get into Pencey Prep, which at the time Frank Iero was in, but wasn't 'good enough' to get in. The first ever Concert he went to was a Smashing Pumpkin concert.

My Chemical Romance effects Mikey in a big way. He joined the band after hearing a Attic Demo,But When he Joined he Dropped out of College. Before Joining MCR Mikey couldn't play bass, he only learnt it in order to be in MCR. In the First Couple of MCR shows Mikey Drank Heavily especially Liquor to mask his stage fright.In the Writing of The Black Parade Mcr's third Album, Mikey got Near Bi-Polar Disorder and medicated himself with Pills and Alcohol, however in the end he had to leave Paramour Mansion where MCR where recording for Psycological help/counselling.In Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys, Mikey is Know as the Kobra Kid because he's Gerard's Kid brother, his colour in the album is yellow and he has a yellow helmet with 'Good luck' on and a yellow ray gun.

Mikey has a true Love for Unicorns! Mikey's Favourite Band is Anthrax, he often wears a signature Anthrax T-shirt.He also likes The Smashing Pumpkins, Beastie Boys, Iron Maiden, and The Misfits. Mikey is a Ipod Junkie and a IPod Battery Horder. Mikey's Favourite food is Sushi , he once said he could eat his body weight in it! Mikey's Favourite Films are Schlock horror films Mikey also has a love for animals he has 2 dogs Piglet Tree Way and Puddles Way and 2 cats Bunny Marie Way and Snowball Way. Mikey has a t-shirt that says 'Mikey F***ing Way' On it. He can often be seen wearing a beanie. However he hates Small,Large,open space and shopping for groceries.

Mikey Married a Fellow Bassist Alicia Simmons on March 8th 2007, Alicia is also a Guitar tech and Merch Seller as well as other things, she's tech'd for various bands including Fall out boy and Straylight run. She also has played surrogate bassist for From First to Last. They are very happy Together and Currently live in New York, They have matching tattoos on their wrists,the tattoos consist of a heart shaped jar with flames emitting from it; across the jar reads, "FOREVER". Showing their love for each other.

Mikey Has suffered from Liver Damage Broken Toes (after a battle with a Brick Wall, Guess who won?) Asthma- in addition he smokes. And has had many respiration infections. He is also NearSighted and up to May 2006 when he had lasik eye surgery to correct his vision.

Sorry but that's not going to cut it as an article, in addition to having no usable references (the ones provided are either dead links or fanpages, it has poor grammar and spelling (why are random words capitalised?), filled with unimportant fluff & trivia and reads like a fanpage blurb .
