Anyeverybody, I don't know if you still visit this page, but I have a request for you if you can fulfill it. I am interested in adding a 3D picture to an article I created for Wikipedia. The article in question is about the crash of Copa Airlines Flight 201, which was enroute from Panama to Colombia. There was an image on the article, but it appears to be gone. If you can do this for me, please let me know. And003 (talk) 21:53, 23 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'm still more or less here, and happy to help, so yeah I can do this for you. I'll be able to use my new 737 model, which will save time, but I'll have to work on it in between some other things I'm doing for money. Anynobody(?) 00:03, 25 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I should be done tomorrow or Saturday at the latest. Anynobody(?) 16:12, 28 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I am sorry I didn't get in touch with you after you finished your image, but I only had a chance to visit the COPA Flight 201 article a few days ago. Anyway, it seems some unknown visitor thought it was really funny to add a remark about a rookie pilot polishing her toe nails to the Flight 201 article. I suspect vandalism. In any case, I saw your image, and I am quite impressed. I may make another request later today. And003 (talk) 19:20, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Image request

Hey Anyeverybody - Would you be interested in making a seat map for Air France Flight 447?

The interim report at http://www.bea.aero/docspa/2009/f-cp090601e2.en/pdf/f-cp090601e2.en.pdf has the info on page 76/104 (report page 75) - It has seating locations of the passengers who were recovered from the first search

Thanks WhisperToMe (talk) 06:35, 5 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, but as I said above I'll have to work on it between other stuff. The good news is that I've been slowly working on A330/A340 models so I won't be starting from scratch :) Anynobody(?) 16:21, 6 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Here's what I have so far, I'm still planning to add row numbers and some minor details but wasn't sure if you wanted to start using it now or wait...Anynobody(?) 15:31, 7 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The image is much larger
Thanks! I'll use the image now, but I would also appreciate improvements too :)
Once the seat numbers of people recovered by the next recovery mission become available, those can be added in once the final report is released
WhisperToMe (talk) 17:27, 8 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
No problem, though I should warn you that I'm not 100% sure of the seat letters on this one. As you know the original was kind of, shall we say, low resolution. Anynobody(?) 22:55, 8 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Page 15/104 has another map of the same plane indicating parts of the plane recovered in 2009. It may have higher res indicators of the seat letters. Also, if you want to, would you mind making a map of that as well? Thanks WhisperToMe (talk) 03:03, 17 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

BTW, if/when you are done with your other requests, would you mind another one related to Kenya Airways Flight 431? http://www.bea.aero/docspa/2000/5y-n000130a/pdf/5y-n000130a.pdf Page 132 shows a map showing locations of survivors of that crash WhisperToMe (talk) 08:18, 23 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry for the delay, again, but I should be able to have both of these done by this time next week. I'll try to throw in an illustration of the Kenya A-310 too. Anynobody(?) 04:03, 26 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Here's a rough draft
Just wanted to keep you updated, things are falling a bit behind but are moving along. Here's where I am with the illustration of the plane itself, bear in mind that I'm not done and I noticed that the smaller green stripe is missing so that'll be corrected. Back to the AF 447, I totally forgot you wanted a map of the parts they recovered so far so I'll get to work on it right away but the diagram didn't do much to help with the row numbers.
Speaking of AF 447, I'm pretty surprised that they haven't figured out how to keep the pitot tubes from icing up.
work in progress
Anynobody(?) 15:43, 2 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your help, Anynobody :) - BTW it is interesting to see how the pitots still haven't yet been taken care of... WhisperToMe (talk) 02:21, 8 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Congrats

Assuming you and Cracked.com's Anynobody are the same, congrats on getting #1 in the "If Public Service Announcements Were Honest". That was a pretty damn funny poster you made. :-) Ed [talk] [majestic titan] 01:38, 29 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'm surprised to hear about stuff I did there, here, but thank you very much :) I can't take all the credit, after all if they hadn't put out an ad where two slugs are about to eat salt and captioned it "What's the worst that could happen?", I wouldn't have had something so ridiculous to call them out on. (Though, if recreational drugs did do the same thing to people that salt does to slugs it would mean both that "recreational" must apply to whoever is watching the user dehydrate before their eyes and drugs wouldn't really be a big problem anyway.) Anynobody(?) 03:53, 30 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
That's true, but how many people think that logically? At least Cracked's users don't. ;-) I'm surprised I recognized that name. It is rather unique, but I can't for the life of me remember where we have crossed paths before... (unless I found some of your images years ago and decided to stalk the creator?) Ed [talk] [majestic titan] 07:37, 30 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
You'd be surprised, there are some pretty intelligent folks over, uh, there. I seem to recall you too, and looking at your profile page I'm assuming we saw each other editing battleship or carrier articles like USS Nevada. I enjoy reading about non-famous battleships and imagine fights between them and more well known ships, so your work on Argentine ships is appreciated. Also the Majestic Titan project looks like it's produced quite a few FAs too. (I love the photo of USS Connecticut by the way.) Anynobody(?) 19:02, 30 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I have another project you might be interested in tackling. You don't have to do this right away, since you are currently in the middle of other projects at this time. In fact, I think it would be better if you finish your current projects before starting on this one.

I am interested in a 3D image of the two planes involved in a 1976 mid-air collision over the Yugoslavian city of Vrbovec, which is now located in present-day Croatia. The aircraft involved are a McDonnell-Douglas DC-9 from Inex-Adria Airways and a Hawker-Siddeley Trident 3B from British Airways.

I want the image to resemble the one on this page:
http://clubaaron.com/aircrash/zagreb.html

However, I am looking for the size to be 1600 X 1200 or at least 1024 X 768 so I can use it as a wallpaper on my computer. To aid you, I am giving you the URLs to the pre-crash pictures of the aircraft in question.

If you need further information, let me know.

Holy shit in a satchel! I'm so sorry I forgot to reply to you man, you must think I'm a total dick. If it helps, I was gonna say no because I didn't feel like making a Trident model, but now will indeed make the model and image right after I'm done with the AF 447 thing. (I'm really, really sorry.) Anynobody(?) 22:34, 14 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Just wanted to keep you updated, almost done with the Trident model:

Link to commons image, apparently there is a file on Wikipedia called Trident

Finished the model and am now working on textures...Anynobody(?) 17:25, 11 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
