Koena Mitra (Template:Lang-bn; born 7 January 1984)^[1] is an Indian actress and model who appears in Bollywood films.

Mitra was born in Kolkata, West Bengal to a Bengali Hindu family.^[1] Mitra attended South Point High School and Lady Brabourne College of the University of Calcutta. She has a major in psychology.^[1] Mitra was trained with the Mamata Shankar ballet troupe for 12 years. She trained in western dance forms, basket ball, swimming and tennis. Her dream was to be an athlete, she started her career too early and that had created a lot of tension in her family, she had mentioned that on a TV show right after winning the title. She had almost bag packed and left her house, she was in high school when she won the all India title.

Mitra started her modeling career while she was still in school.^[1] In 2002, she won the beauty pageant Gladrags Mega Model India 2003. She later went on to become the first runner up of Miss Intercontinental in Germany out of 84 countries. Over the years, Mitra has done commercials for Mirinda, Clinic All Clear, Maruti Alto, Jewellery and beauty products. She has done many fashion weeks in Milan and Beijing.

She featured in a few music videos like Stereo Nation’s Ishq, Aaj Ki Raat, Akh Teri, Channo by Jassi. Her first film appearance was the special appearance in Ram Gopal Verma's Road. In 2004, she appeared in Musafir, alongside Anil Kapoor. She later went on to appear in commercial successes such as Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena and Apna Sapna Money Money.
