:It's not an official album or mixtape. More likely a fan-made compilation. That's why it's not included under the albums section. All official albums/mixtapes are listed, as far as I'm aware.[[User:Shakur420|Shakur420]] ([[User talk:Shakur420|talk]]) 17:19, 23 May 2011 (UTC)

Coming studio albums

The article states: "though a release date has yet to be confirmed for The Middle Passage, Revolutionary Vol. 3 is to come out in the first few month's of 2010." But underneath it's The Middle Passage that is expected to come out in 2010 and it's Revolutionary vol. 3 that is TBA. Which is which? 83.92.112.234 (talk) 22:47, 5 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The citation says Middle Passage is 2010, so I changed it. The article about Rev Vol 3's release date talks about 2004, though, so I have no idea when that's coming out. Meviin (talk) 06:43, 29 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Picture "removed from wiki commons"

Somebody keeps removing the picture, saying that it has been deleted from wiki commons (for copyright reasons). Sorry if I'm new at this and just don't know, but how has it been "removed" from wiki commons if I can still post it in the article and it shows up in a search in wiki commons? Please reply and explain before removing the image again. Shakur420 (talk) 00:20, 1 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Suggested merge

Immortal Technique discography consists of only three albums and three singles; there's no reason to have a separate article for it. If anyone is against such a merge, please explain your reasoning here. Thanks, TheJazzDalek (talk) 19:55, 17 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, it might be a good idea not to have it a separate page for the discog. I might not merge the 2 just yet though, as there are a few people who would like to add to his pages. There might be additions such as his collaboration work, which would probably range in the area of about 20-30 songs, and probably as many artists. I don't know, you can merge it now and later a separate page can be created again. Shakur420 (talk) 23:39, 7 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed. The discography info on its own doesn't seem to warrant its own article at this stage. Marchijespeak/peek 00:49, 16 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Merged. TheJazzDalek (talk) 01:14, 4 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The link to immortaltechnique.co.uk keeps getting removed. It should be discussed before it is removed again. Although an "unofficial" forum, the admins of this forum are in regular contact with Immortal Technique and his staff, have done an interview with him and have been mentioned on radio shows and twitter/facebook posts. There is a full compilation of Immortal Technique's works, videos, interviews and lyrics on the website. It is the most comprehensive collection of information regarding the subject. Many of the articles, interviews and videos are direct references to numerous items that are cited in the wikipedia article. As I understand the wikipedia rules about external links, this collection of information warrants the inclusion of the website as a link. There is no valid reason why it should be removed, unless I'm unaware of a certain wikipedia policy which would not allow a website like this to be posted under "external links". For example, the website conforms to this rule,

"Sites that contain neutral and accurate material that is relevant to an encyclopedic understanding of the subject and cannot be integrated into the Wikipedia article due to copyright issues, amount of detail (such as professional athlete statistics, movie or television credits, interview transcripts, or online textbooks), or other reasons."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:External_links

It is quite clear that immortaltechnique.co.uk meets this requirement, based on the amount and accuracy of media/information that is available. This information is available to anyone, without registration or cost, and is structured like a library. Please discuss first if you feel the need to remove this link . —Preceding unsigned comment added by Shakur420 (talk • contribs) 01:12, 11 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Name?

I noticed his name got changed. Is it Felipe Coronel or Alex bozevski? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.93.48.67 (talk) 21:46, 19 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I believe it was just vandalism Shakur420 (talk) 02:54, 27 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Article cleanup

I removed the sections about his collaborations; these sections were based on internet forum speculation and didn't contribute to the article. Luksuh (talk) 03:53, 1 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

What you did was combine information about his albums, collaborations and charitable work under one heading. You did not the change the content at all so your claim that the information is "speculation" and "didn't contribute to the article" are thus null and void. Granted, cleanup of the article needs to be done and more references need to be added, but the references that are included were not removed or refuted by you. If there is an issue with references, that can be addressed by scrutinizing the sources. I have separated the information again, keeping all the collaborations under one section. Please do not make such drastic changes again before discussing.Shakur420 (talk) 02:11, 22 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

"Peruvian/Afro Peruvian/American Rapper"

I've noticed people constantly changing this. Personally I think "American rapper" is best suited for this situation, as he lives in New York, started his career in the U.S. and is largely based there. Though his fanbase is worldwide, and he does tour in many countries, the same could be said for other artists like Christina Aguilera, for example, who no doubt has a world-wide fanbase and tours in many countries. It would be a little humorous to refer to Christina Aguilera as an "Irish-Latina singer" simply because of her ethnicity. It just seems best to refer to him as an "American rapper", and mention his ethnic background separately. I'll leave this here for a while so that people can add what they think. Shakur420 (talk) 03:21, 27 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've made the change to "American rapper of Afro-Peruvian descent". Please discuss here before changing it.Shakur420 (talk) 21:11, 11 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Done Thanks for uploading the screenshot, Troublesome. It's not a conventional source, but given that the date the article had was evidently wrong, and that it's only verifying an anticipated release date, I've fulfilled your request. Adrian J. Hunter(talk•contribs) 12:24, 24 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The anticipated release date was removed by Shakur420 (talk) with the edit summary Removing unconfirmed release date for upcoming material. Please do not add unofficial, unconfirmed information. In hindsight, I ought to have responded to this edit request by removing the incorrect information, but without adding the anticipated release date. It's not Wikipedia's role to make public information obtained through private correspondence; Immortal Technique can publicly announce the release date when he's ready. In terms of Wikipedia policy, the anticipated release date was challenged by Shukur420, and no-one should re-add it without a reliable source per WP:BURDEN.
