An example of how the sites differ can be seen immediately by comparing the Wikipedia article on Tamarind, with the Plants.am Tamarind article. Many of the articles currently on the site are placeholder articles taken from Wikipedia which are being rewritten from scratch, or shells of articles using new templates. However, a core of new articles like the Asparagus article (which still has a lot of room to grow) are being created, and the undertaking is huge. Perhaps you have some materials you can add which are not appropriate for Wikipedia. If you have any questions at all about this new resource, feel free to contact me on my user page here or on Plants.am. Thanks! --RaffiKojian (talk) 20:52, 18 May 2009 (UTC)

January 2008

Hello. Regarding the recent revert you made to Michael Ruppert: You may already know about them, but you might find Wikipedia:Template messages/User talk namespace useful. After a revert, these can be placed on the user's talk page to let them know you considered their edit was inappropriate, and also direct new users towards the sandbox. They can also be used to give a stern warning to a vandal when they've been previously warned. Thank you. Jauerback (talk) 16:05, 9 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of A Sailor-Made Man, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0012642. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. There is no need to warn me

I am not in control of my actions. I have no free will. Therefore your warnings, while made with good intentions, are not necessary.

Sincerely,

Carol —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.149.238.64 (talk) 11:07, 15 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

seven chances

Why did you remove the categories from Seven Chances? there is no such thing as redundant categories, if you go to the pages related to those categories, Seven Chances no longer appears. For example Seven Chances appears in American Silent Films, but will no longer appear under the larger category of Silent Film. EraserGirl (talk) 14:11, 26 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I suggest you TALK to EraserGirl instead of just reversing what she thinks is appropriate! Luigibob (talk) 14:25, 26 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re CATS

Hey, you seem to be strong on categories. Super! I do a lot of work on film noir cinema. I know I'm goofing up the cats. I can use your help. For some freakin reason there are three cats that are so inter-related (is that the term) that REDUNDANCY shouts out. Namely: [Category:Crime drama films] [Category:Crime films] [Category:Crime thriller films]. Jeez. I put them all on the articles, but, intrinsically I know that is wrong. How can we combine them all? And, is that the best solution? See my work here: User:Luigibob/Filmnoir. Let me know if you are interested. Best to you -- ♦ Luigibob ♦ "Talk to Luigi!" 14:13, 26 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the detailed explanation. Sorry about jumping the gun on not talking to the other Wikepedian. You dealt with it well. My best-- Luigibob (talk) 06:25, 1 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

WP:FILMS Questionnaire

As a member of WikiProject Films, you are invited to take part in the project's first questionnaire. It is intended to gauge your participation and views on the project. At the conclusion of the questionnaire, the project's coordinators will use the gathered feedback to find new ways to improve the project and reach out to potential members. The results of the questionnaire will be published in next month's newsletter. If you know of any editors who have edited film articles in the past, please invite them to take part in the questionnaire. Please stop by and take a few minutes to answer the questions so that we can continue to improve our project. Happy editing!

Plant and Garden wiki

Hi Dblk, I'm writing to you because you've edited many of the plant articles. I wanted to let you know about a plants-specific wiki site which you might be interested in contributing to. The site focuses specifically on how to grow any plant. Since Wikipedia is not a how-to, and articles are not allowed to be written as a guide on how to grow plants, two years ago I started http://www.plants.am - a wiki solely to address that topic (much like how wikitravel.org is solely to advise tourists visiting a country or city on their destination).

Thanks! --RaffiKojian (talk) 20:52, 18 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
