'''Melvin Palmer''' was a recurring character on ''[[Boston Legal]]''. He is a high priced Texan lawyer, who typically relies on a southern attitude to woo clients and attorneys alike. He often represents big, immoral companies and soon becomes [[Alan Shore|Alan's]] nemesis. Alan compares him an inflatable Bobo Doll ("He always bounces back"), but once asked Melvin to represent [[Denny Crane]] while in Utah, after Denny snuck into a womans tent. Alan and Melvin have opposed each other on three different occasions, all of which Alan won. Melvin always retains a cheerful attitude while Alan masks his frustration and hate with sarcasm, to which Melvin never responds angrily, but thinks of it as a type of endearment.
