My Weird School is a series of first person humorous books by Dan Gutman. The series contains a total of 28 books so far. The latest one released, Mrs. Jafee is Daffy, was released on July 28, 2009.^[1]

The series of books takes place in Ella Mentry School, where A.J. (a boy who dislikes school) and his arch-enemy Andrea Young go to school. In these series, each book described why all the teachers were weird in their weird ways.

A new series was published in 2008, where A.J., Andrea, and the gang were graduating from second grade and going to third grade, where they will have a new teacher and new adventures at Ella Mentry School. The books are:

Arlo Jervis (better known as A.J.) is the first person and one of the main characters in the books. He hates school, and on the other hand, his arch-enemy Andrea Young loves school and all the other things that A.J. hates. His real name, Arlo Jervis, was known in Mr. Docker is Off His Rocker!, when Andrea made a big announcement that A.J. stood for Arlo Jervis. Since then, Andrea kept calling A.J. Arlo because A.J. thinks she knows how much he hates it. His best friends are Michael, Ryan, and Neil.

Andrea Young is the smartest person in the class, and one of two primary antagonists, and usually corrects A.J. and the boys from mistakes they make while talking, and occasionally says "Boys are dumbheads." She gets called on the most to answer questions because she always raises her hand after any questions are asked and moans "Ooh, ooh, ooh". She is also Emily's accomplice. Her mother is also PTA vice president of Ella Mentry School.

Michael Robinson is one of A.J.'s best friends. He is notorious for never tying his shoes. He is the tallest person in the class and wears glasses.

Ryan Dole is a Jewish boy who will eat just about anything, even stuff that is not edible. His mom made an appearance in the first My Weird School Daze book. She was known as the new PTA president of the next school year.

Emily is a character in which Andrea is her accomplice. She is also the other of the two antagonists. Emily agrees in everything that Andrea says. A.J. thinks Andrea and Emily are the most annoying students he met. She appeared in every book except Mr. Sunny is Funny!

Neil Crouch is a character mistaken to be a "nude kid". He made his first appearance in Mrs. Kormel is Not Normal!, when the school bus gets a flat tire because they had to take a detour to pick up the "nude kid". They finally met Neil after approaching in school. The boys agreed to call Neil "the nude kid" although he wears clothes.

Annette is a minor character in the series. On of her appearances was in Mr. Klutz is Nuts!, where A.J. shot a ball at Annette and Michael said Annette was "a net" because it was a homophone to "Annette". Another one of her appearances was in Mr. Louie is Screwy! in which Michael kissed Annette when Mr. Louie put a love potion in the drinking fountain and the boys use the fountain.
