Rajagopal Kulasekhar Shekhar was a Tamil Indian music composer, who worked for Malayalam cinema. He composed music for 22 films, and was the music conductor for more than 100 films.
His debut song was Chotta muthal chudala vare ("from birth to grave") which was a big hit in Kerala. This was composed for the film Pazhassi Raja (1964).
Personal life
R. K. Shekhar was married to Kasthuri. They had three children, among them composer A. R. Rahman.
