H.S.V. The Brases

Please could someone make the home shirt of the braves: The overshirt is blue. The sleaves are red. The pants is white. The socks are red again.

Thanks a lot!!!

If it's just a blue shirt with red sleeves, white shorts and red socks, a new pattern isn't needed for that..... -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 09:26, 28 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Also, there's no article on any team called "H.S.V. The Brases" or "H.S.V. The Braves", as far as I can see...... -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 09:28, 28 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Search on the Dutch wikipedia fot "braves", than you'll find the page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Geert-Jan91 (talk • contribs) 21:09, 30 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Dynamo Dresden's home kit sleeves

I just wanted to say that I have changed Dynamo Dresden's home jersey sleeves to yelow gold, can you confirm that the sleeves are the current version? Thanks! —Preceding unsigned comment added by SGD-LFC (talk • contribs) 14:24, 22 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Broken entity

editprotected

The second-to-last line has no obvious use, and is causing problems with some editors on recent browsers. Might as well get rid of it. Old:

|bgcolor="#{ffffff}" colspan="3"|
|-
|colspan="3"|
|-
|colspan="3"|{title}

New:

|bgcolor="#{ffffff}" colspan="3"|
|-
|colspan="3"|{title}

Cheers. Chris Cunningham (not at work) - talk 20:14, 23 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Done, but I changed it to
|bgcolor="#{ffffff}" colspan="3"|
|-
|colspan="3"|<br>
|-
|colspan="3"|{title}
instead, to preserve the space there. Let me know if you want it gone. Cheers. --lifebaka (talk - contribs) 20:44, 23 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
That's introduced an additional gap. I think we can just get rid of the lines entirely. Chris Cunningham (not at work) - talk 20:46, 23 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Real Betis

Could someone maybe update the Real Betis page to feature all three (or even just the home and away ones) of their new shirts, kind of how the Liverpool FC have theirs. It would be greatly appreciated.

Here are the three shirts in order. New Darlington F.C. home kit

Please could someone make the new Darlington home kit. It is very difficult to do.

Just use a basic black and white hooped template with white sleeves. The kit icons aren't meant to have massive levels of detail in them anyway. - fchd (talk) 11:46, 28 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

New Central Coast Mariners F.C. home and away kit

There is currently no 'navyvertival' template. As a result, can someone please make the following?

pics of both kits
alternative angles

The Home is the Stripes (currently no template for navy vertical stripe)
The Away is the plain Yellow with minor curvy detail (this one can probably be made easily, but i thought i may aswell post it)

Much appreciated! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Darthfyer86 (talk • contribs) 05:45, 9 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't put in the away kit fine detail (although I had to make a _3navystripes template, as you say), but the kits are finally updated! Emcee N (talk) 13:02, 20 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Overview

Is there an overview of sports kits? Not of the individual styles, but of what types of kits have been defined, for what sports, and what elements are available to build kits with? Aliter (talk) 22:19, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Category: kit and uniform templates. Chris Cunningham (not at work) - talk 08:22, 4 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. Not exactly what I was looking for, but I it sort of works. If a category, I would have expected more of a Category: kit and uniform parts, with shorts, soks, skirts, sleeves, etc. all being subcategories. Unfortunately, it turns out that skirts aren't actually on Commons, so using them on fy: will be somewhat troublesome. Aliter (talk) 01:45, 21 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Come to think of it: How do we get the entire kits system on Commons? Aliter (talk) 22:35, 21 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Check for possibility of SVG

If the template can use SVG images instead of PNG images, then it could give some notification of this. I've added a check to the template and recreated it here. However, it does make use of exists for each image, so someone may want to make a decision on this. — cBuckley (Talk • Contribs) 12:15, 15 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Just pass in the filetype=svg attribute. Chris Cunningham (not at work) - talk 12:26, 15 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I know about the filetype attribute. But there may be cases where that attribute can be used and people haven't noticed, so are still using the PNG version. This would make them use SVG if SVG versions were available for each of their images. Of course, using this method would make it possible to remove the filetype attribute altogether! — cBuckley (Talk • Contribs) 14:16, 15 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Good point. Yes, it would seem that the best approach would be to just remove the filetype attribute entirely, and to always do SVG -> PNG fallback. I can't imagine anyone is using the attrib for any other file type right now. I hope you don't mind, but I've moved your user test page to the sandbox. Chris Cunningham (not at work) - talk 17:50, 15 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Update the template to use overlay svg files

editprotect It's pretty uncontroversial and has been discussed to some here. The code used is taken from the italian wp template (it:Template:Football kit), modified to include the png/svg choice through the filetype parameter and the discussed change from File:Kit socks.svg to File:Kit socks long.svg to give a more real life proportions to the socks. And as said in the discussion, with these changes the old sock style that are shorter are still usable as "underlayers", though some might have to be modified as well (shown here). The changes would integrate with other templates that uses this template, see this for tests. — CHANDLER#1010:49, 14 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Jodan Boys

Could someone please make the arm parts of the Dutch team Jodan Boys. They're an amateur team, but they play on a notable level. Here's a picture that shows the arms: link I only need the arm parts, so the orange stripe and the two black stripes. Maybe it could based on this one (the red part made white/transparant, the yellow stripes made black and orange):

Help needed for FC de Rakt

In an attempt to improve and expand the article FC de Rakt which is currently under AfD, I'd like to ask for help/advice in setting up a template showing their kit. There's a unique issue here which will be apparent on perusal of the article - basically, a skirt is required rather than shorts. ðarkuncoll 10:01, 10 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

There's Template:Field hockey kit, although the sleeves don't really look like a football kit..... -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 10:05, 10 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Good point - could they be combined somehow? I'm not quite sure how to construct a standard template, let alone make a new one, so if anyone wishes to take on this task while the AfD debate is still open it would be much appreciated. The required kit is pretty simple in terms of colours - blue shirt, white skirt, and blue socks. ðarkuncoll 10:11, 10 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Infobox kits are just paper dolls; there is no need to show that the shorts are actually skirts. Doing so sets a horrible precedent for things like people wanting long-sleeved versions and the like. Chris Cunningham (not at work) - talk 05:08, 11 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I was thinking along those lines myself. ðarkuncoll 11:03, 10 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Compressed?

What happened to the "body" part of the football kit? Many of the kits (for exampe Estonia national football team, Spain national football team and Turkey national football team )have some kind of arc at the neck part. Sixest 20:07, 12 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
