The Forest of Doom is a single-player role-playing book, the third in the Fighting Fantasy series. It was the first book to be solely written by Ian Livingstone.

The reader is tasked with retrieving a magical warhammer for the dwarves in the village of Stonebridge. It was separated into two pieces and lost in the depths of Darkwood Forest. The book is considered quite easy by fans; there is no final boss, many of the monsters are unchallenging, and if the player has not retreived the hammer by the end of the book it is possible to retrace their steps and try again an indefinite number of times.
