Please check spelling

You have started an article about Vellore Institute of Technology with an incorrect spelling for Institute. Please check the spelling of the title before you start one. Thanks. Yogi 5:10, 6 Jul 2005 (UTC)

Please tell us what you consider to be wrong about that article. Plugwash 17:52, 24 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Vandalism to Matthew sinclair redirect

Specifically regarding "Please Don't Vandalise (Final Warning)". You do realize that this IP address represents thousands of individuals, and that probably only a handful of them have been vandalising. 15:44, 12 September 2006 (UTC)

Judging by this user's edits, it is mostly the same user who has been vandalising using this ip address. Sfacets 22:49, 25 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Can you please explain these edits to Shot noise? — Omegatron 01:00, 15 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Might I recommend that you make use of this article's talk page rather than posting banners at the very top? Those are just going to be removed. Thanks. – Lantoka (talk) 20:02, 4 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I'm not going to argue one way or another that gun control is a civil liberties issue; but certainly, the view that gun ownership is a civil liberty is a highly contested one. When the article says, "He supports civil liberties except for gun ownership", it implicitly states that gun ownership is in fact a civil liberty--thereby taking sides on this controversial issue. That's why I removed the sentence. If you wish to discuss further, feel free to drop me a note at Talk:Raul Grijalva--I have it on my watchlist. Thanks! Meelar (talk) 16:29, 17 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

P.S. Might I suggest registering for a username? You can remain anonymous, but it's helpful to have a persistent identity. Best wishes.

In a recent edit, you changed one or more words from one international variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect other forms of English in Wikipedia articles.

The guidelines are simple. For subjects exclusively related to Britain (for example, a famous British person), use British English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. If it is an international topic, use the same form of English the original author used.

In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to the other, even if you don't normally use the version the article is written in. Respect other people's versions of English. They in turn should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Wikipedia:Manual of Style. If you have any queries about all this, just ask anyone on Wikipedia and they will help you. Thank you. Readro 11:14, 2 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did in Trans fats. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion.
