Battle statistics

I googled the battle and looked it up in some of my almanacs and history books but was unable to find any information about casualties and other battle statistics, except that some Maronite Lebanese fought on the French side. If anyone has any helpful sources please bring them forth. --AladdinSE 07:32, Apr 25, 2005 (UTC)

Sources

I hope to least partially attend to this in a few days, once I have got back to Damascus.Palmiro | Talk 22:57, 5 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

One source added. If you're in Damascus anyway, I'd recommend you check out the book. It's quite interesting (though in no way neutral), and I got it for a mere 180 lira. Arre 22:50, 8 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, good old Sami Moubayed. I have one of his books myself, the somewhat bizarrely titled The George Washington of Syria: Shukri al-Quwatli. It would be an awful lot more convincing if he had got an English-speaker to proof-read it, though! Palmiro | Talk 11:06, 11 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey AladdinSE,

I have added some battle statistics from a well-known source. See the Arabic version as it has more information. --Islami 00:28, 8 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
