This article claims that Ross is commonly thought to have made the flag that flew over Fort McHenry. I didn't find any recounting of that story on a quick Google search. I know the story that Ross made the first American flag at the request of George Washington in the 1770s, but I've never heard her connected to the Fort McHenry flag, let alone enough to claim that this is a "common" belief which deserves rebuttal in an encyclopedia. 71.129.81.136 15:20, 21 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

$574.44 was the total cost for the two flags commissioned. $405.90 is the actual cost for the article flag.Awotter (talk) 07:13, 10 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
