Reverend Dr. Giles Fraser is the vicar of St. Mary's Church, Putney, lecturer in philosophy at Wadham College, Oxford and a leading authority on Nietzsche. He is a regular contributer to the Guardian and Church Times and speaker on Thought for the Day. He is in the liberal tradition of the Church of England. His Putney church was the base for the Civil War Putney Debates, and Fraser thus led a successful campaign in the Guardian in 2006 to have the Debates given greater recognition.
