:Newspaper articles, in general, are not edited after publication except in extenuating circumstances (i.e. typo fixes, major errors or retractions immediately after publication) -- the only real modifications that should be made to these pages are lint fixes, metadata modification, image renames and the like, all of which are carried out by bot or script runs. Substantive edits shouldn't be getting made to these pages anyway, they're archives. If anybody tried to substantively edit these pages they'd be reverted anyway; archives aren't supposed to be refactored or edited, especially not when they're newspaper articles. Talk page archives use the <nowiki>__NOEDITSECTION__</nowiki> tag for a similar reason. The only consequence of having them not be semiprotected is that a) people try to there are some six thousand and change articles to monitor in case one of them gets blanked (i.e. [[Special:Diff/1193682526]], [[Special:Diff/1193682472]])... and if a vandalism falls off RC (which has retention of about 30 days give or take) it's just completely undetectable. <b style="font-family: monospace; color:#E35BD8">[[User:JPxG|<b style="color:#029D74">jp</b>]]×[[Special:Contributions/JPxG|<b style="color: #029D74">g</b>]][[User talk:JPxG|🗯️]]</b> 03:28, 6 January 2024 (UTC) |

Out of curiosity
Hey JPxG. I was just wondering how you pronounce your username. I've been pronouncing it as jay-pex-gee in my head, but that's a rather obscure pronunciation, and I'd just like to know, since I've been thinking about it more than I probably should. Cheers! Relativity 21:15, 29 December 2023 (UTC)
Happy New Year, JPxG!
Send New Year cheer by adding {{subst:Happy New Year fireworks}} to user talk pages.

Your draft article, User:JPxG/LLM dungeon/Social Security in the United States of America (USA)
Hello, JPxG. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "LLM dungeon/Social Security in the United States of America (USA)".
In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been deleted. When you plan on working on it further and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.
Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Liz Read! Talk! 17:43, 1 January 2024 (UTC)
Happy New Year!
Protection of old newspaper articles
I'm not exactly sure why you're protecting all of these. Looking at them, most of them have no history of vandalism or any updates past publishing so this seems like preemptive protection which policy doesn't support. ― Blaze WolfTalkblaze__wolf 03:08, 6 January 2024 (UTC)
