::The fact that Mulgrew offered her daughter for adoption during a difficult situation appears to be something over which she is very proud. It appears that she has chosen to make public this aspect of her private life, for her own reasons related to it helping to foster dialog between pro-life and pro-abortion advocates. The fact is certainly germane to her bio here and I think adequate sourcing is available for inclusion of it. [[User:CyberAnth|CyberAnth]] 05:41, 13 February 2007 (UTC) |

Abortion
I recall years ago reading a local Ohio news story on the web (during her husband's race for Governor) that said that Mulgrew's position on abortion has evolved.
Usually that phraseology means that they have changed to pro-choice.
But I cannot locate the specific reference. Perhaps another Wikipedian can locate the story or a citation.
(If it is located, several Wiki pages and catagories will have to be edited.)
- I think that Ms. Mulgrew remains pro-life but wants to foster open discussion between the two sides. No accusations and finger-pointing as that acomplishes nothing and is just another issue to split the democrats.
Heartbeat
Any information on her leading role as Dr Joanne Springsteen on HeartBeat, a medical drama? (in the 1980s) It lasted only one season, but she was the lead and it was fondly remembered by many of us. --75.55.200.217 19:35, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
- Heartbeat is mentioned in Mulgrew's filmography on IMDb.com but lacks detail. Adding more info right now might be tricky as she has an extensive filmography. First getting this article to Wiki biography standards might be best. --Zuejay 04:06, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
- All right - added Heartbeat to the filmography. Also tried to make it more of a bio article. --Zuejay 04:32, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
