Strangers with Candy was a American sitcom that aired on Comedy Central in 1999 and 2000. It centered around Jerri Blank (played by Amy Sedaris), a 46-year old high school freshman. Other prominent characters included Jerri's art teacher, Geoffrey Jellineck (played by Paul Dinello), Jerri's history teacher, Chuck Noblet (played by Stephen Colbert), and the principal of Flatpoint High, Onyx Blackman (Greg Hollimon). The stars and creators of the series were all alumni of Chicago's Second City comedy troupe.
