In the 2024 Pakistani general election, Saeed Ahmad Khan was in a weak position, but significant efforts were made by the Pakistani establishment to ensure his victory. His opponent’s constituency was deliberately disrupted to favor his win, and his main rival was forced into hiding, preventing him from running an election campaign. Political opponents from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) faced additional challenges, as their party's election symbol was revoked by then-Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa just days before the election—an action later deemed incorrect in subsequent court hearings. Despite this, Manais managed to secure 96,191 votes based on Form 47, which was allegedly manipulated with the establishment's support. However, according to the original vote count from Form 45, which reflected the results from local polling stations, he lost the election, as the majority of the public opposed him.
Saeed Ahmad Khan's son Asif Saeed Manais has been elected to the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab 3 times; during all his tenures he was part of the Chief minister's cabinet. Khan's elder son Asim Saeed Manais served as tehsil nazim of Mailsi for a period of 8 years and was then elected chairman of district council Vehari in the local government elections.
Saeed Ahmad Khan Manais has a massive following in his constituency where people consider him to be the master of politics.Even today no one from Vehari has reached heights that once Manais did at his peak career by being one of the strongest ministers of the time. He is an unbeatable candidate in his constituency and has a huge mandate. SK Manais is a mentor for most of his political rivals.
