Mizuki Otake (大竹 望月, Ōtake Mizuki, born 27 February 2002) is a Japanese badminton player from Niigata Prefecture. She graduated from the Aomori Yamada High School, and joined BIPROGY badminton team on 1 April 2020.[1]

Career

2024

In September, Otake and Takahashi participated in the 2024 Taipei Open and reached their first quarterfinal at this level of the tournament. In the first round, they defeated fifth seeds Sung Shuo-yun and Yu Chien-hui of Chinese Taipei in straight games.[2] In the next round, they defeated the Indonesian pair of Lanny Tria Mayasari and Rachel Allessya Rose.[3] In the quarterfinals, they lost to second-seeded Febriana Dwipuji Kusuma and Amallia Cahaya Pratiwi of Indonesia in a three-game match that lasted 72 minutes.[4]

BWF World Tour (1 title, 1 runner-up)

The BWF World Tour, which was announced on 19 March 2017 and implemented in 2018,[5] is a series of elite badminton tournaments sanctioned by the Badminton World Federation (BWF). The BWF World Tours are divided into levels of World Tour Finals, Super 1000, Super 750, Super 500, Super 300 (part of the HSBC World Tour), and the BWF Tour Super 100.[6]
