Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions is an anime television series based on Torako's light novel of the same name and produced by Kyoto Animation.[1] The second season of the series, Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions -Heart Throb-, aired on television from January 8 to March 26, 2014.[2] It was simulcast by Crunchyroll.[3][4] The first episode for a second set of Lite episodes was released on December 26, 2013,[5] and the second series of shorts, Heated Table Series: Kotatsu, were released on March 19, 2014. The opening theme is "Voice" by Zaq and the ending theme is "Van!shment Th!s World" by Black Raison d'être. The ending theme for the Lite episodes is "Shin'en ni Mau Senritsu Shanikusai" (深淵に舞う戦慄謝肉祭, A Hair-Raising Carnival Dancing in the Abyss) by Zaq. Sentai Filmworks licensed the series in August 2015.[6]

When a Hobby Group Representative Meeting is held for the groups to use each rooms, Nanase inspects the club about the failed presentation, and suggests the girls to take a "napping challenge" with Maple Hill High School's Siesta Club and serve as an official activity for the group. They meet Sui Nemuri, who sparks a rivalry with Kumin, and Rikka notices she will disband the society if they lose. The girls take a nap in the day and wake up overnight. Despite their disadvantage, the girls defeat their opponents and save the club. | ||||

Yūta and Rikka notice that Satone lost her purse. Yūta and Satone avoid the monkey. After Yūta receives an arcade coin from Satone, Rikka sadly leaves, feeling Yuta had betrayed her, before meeting up with Shinka. As Yūta follows her, Satone summons Kuzuha, before calling Rikka to meet up with her. Satone explains that she had accompanied Yūta, but discards her feelings, leaving Rikka with the decisive question. Yūta gives her a new umbrella and charm to Rikka on her birthday. Meanwhile, Sanae finds a note from Natsumi Tokugawa and sends a message to the website administrator. | ||||

Knowing about the name that neither she and Shinka made, Sanae identifies Natsumi as Mori Summer. Yūta and the others confront her, observing some odd tendencies in the process. Shinka discards her persona, determined to use her real name. As Sanae feels lonely from Shinka, Yūta notices a curious infatuation Mori had for Sanae. As Mori forces herself over Sanae, Shinka recovers her persona and confronts Natsumi, but gets overwhelmed. However, Sanae notices that Shinka is the real Mori Summer. Natsumi leaves after seeing Sanae accompanying Shinka. | ||||

Yūta finds another arcade coin from an envelope. Kumin invites Yūta and the girls to work at her aunt's beach house, and Tōka introduces her head chef's daughter Cento. Knowing Rikka is losing her power, Satone tells her to restore it. While fighting with Sanae, Satone and Cento, Rikka uses a special contract with Yūta to retain her Wicked Eye. After returning home, Satone laments over what she did for Yūta and having strange thoughts. | ||||

After being aware of Satone, Yūta seeks advice from Shinka and Kumin. Satone assures her heartbreak, but Shinka reprimands Yūta. Kumin learns that Shinka loves everyone more than she wants the best for them. Meanwhile, Rikka recovers and leaves the apartment. Shinka encourages Satone to seek out and defeat Yūta. As she challenges him, Kuzuha tells Yūta that Rikka has left home. Reading a note about "awakening the Dark Flame Dragon" that he wrote as a child, Yūta notices that Rikka is having a role the whole time. Worrying about Rikka, Yūta and Satone reunite with her. Rikka tells Yūta that she wanted to "awaken the dragon and affirm the contract", revealing that Satone had diminished her faith in it and left her apprehensive. When the dragon wakes up, Satone defeats it, overcomes her negative emotions, and reconciles with Yūta and Rikka. | ||||

With neither side willing to apologize, the girls notice how Yūta accompanied Rikka. |
