Plot
The film begins with a multimillionaire Rao Bahadur that wins a lot but misplaced gaiety towards the fag end of his life because of his muddle family. Kantamma, his wife, is a callow fanatic. Exploiting it, a masked cat, Sacchidananda, intrudes and squanders their house. The couple has sons, Ramu & Ranga, and a daughter Shobha. Ramu is knitted with a benevolent Lakshmi, whom he detests as he is irked by her traditional behavior and clutched by a dancer, Maala. Despite being a genial Ranga turns into an alcoholic due to inadequate adoration. Shobha is modernistic and puppets her henpeck husband, Shankaram. Plus, they lose the status of servants except for staunch Musalaiah. When Lakshmi enters the house, Ramu seeks a divorce, which she accepts, but they should stay together for a while as per law.
Meanwhile, Ranga gets cordial to his sister-in-law, who reforms under a shower of her motherly affection. As of today, the two affirm that they are carving their family straight. Firstly, they crack up the swindling of servants and send Shobha to her in-law's house. Parallelly, Musalaiah's niece Parvati a plucky joins as a helper, and Ranga crushes on her. Besides, Ranga, in various forms of disguise, traps Maala, rectifies his brother, and makes him comprehend the virtue of his wife. By the time Lakshmi signs the divorce papers and quits to commit suicide. Consequently, Ranga exposes Sacchidananda's diabolic shade, gets him apprehended, and shields Lakshmi. Finally, the movie ends on a happy note with the marriage of Ranga & Parvati.
