English: Walkerburn War Memorial. A roadside enclosure of concrete and white granite with bronze inscriptions and a statue of a greatcoated Tommy. The original "wee man" statue was stolen on 9th August 1998 and this life-size statue was funded by public subscription and dedicated by HRH The Princess Royal on 20th September 1999. The original statue was found and returned on 3rd February 2000 and stands by the roadside 300m to the west of this memorial. See 33719.
