Seldom seen in such size, this is an important powellite of high visual impact, as well. Unusually colored a pleasing tan color, with good luster and translucence, this radiating cluster of powellite has crystals exceeding 4 cm in length. Most Indian powellite crystals are small…this is more powellite than you normally see in a whole pocket of the stuff, as it usually occurs as small crystals on apophyllite. Powellite is strongly fluorescent. Weighs 388 grams.
