Purpose of use in article (WP:NFCC#8)	The article is about the Massasoit Guards, an African-American volunteer militia company who petitioned the Massachusetts legislature again and again for official recognition in the 1850s and were denied. This is an image of one of the petitions, hand written and signed by Robert Morris and several other prominent African-American abolitionists from Boston.
