Chatham Dockyard, Kent, England has the finest collection of 18th and 19th century naval dockyard buildings many of which are scheduled as ancient monuments.
Anchor Wharf warehouses are the largest warehouses ever built for the Navy. Southern Warehouse completed 1785 was a 'lay apart store' (to the right). Northern warehouse completed in 1805 was a 'Fitted rigging House', and a general store house new purchased equipment.
