English: Blikur is a wooden Faroese row boat from Argir, it is a so-called 5-mannafar. Blikur belongs to the rowing club from Argir, which is called Argja Róðrarfelag. Argir is located just south of Tórshavn, the capital of the Faroe Islands. This photo was taken at the Jóansøka Festival in Tvøroyri in Suðuroy. There are boat races for girls and for boys, men and women and for different sizes of boats. Blikur competed in the competition for "5-mannafør" women and in the same category but for boys. The boys won the race, these women on the photo became number 4 in their race.
