Deutsch: Auf einer Blumenwiese in parkartiger Landschaft mit antiken Monumente wetteifern die Götter des Olymp mit ihren Kunstwerken: Neptun mit dem von ihm erschaffenen Pferd, Vulkan mit der von ihm geformten Jungfrau und Minerva mit ihrem Palast im Hintergrund. Schiedsrichter Momus, die geflügelte Personifikation der Tadelsucht kritisiert alles und fordert, dem Menschen die Brust zu öffnen, damit ihm jedermann ins Herz sehen könne. Die kleine Skulptur in seinem Arm unterstreicht sein törichtes und vermessenes Ansinnen. Die humanistisch gelehrte Darstellung geht auf den antiken Dichter Lukian zurück.
