The portal resumed operations with its current domain (jonoubostan.ir) after obtaining a legal license from the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance in December 2022.

Initially launched in 2006, the portal underwent restructuring and resumed operations with a renewed focus on local and industrial reporting. In October 2023, Jonoubostan became one of the eight platforms to receive an audio-visual media license from Satra (Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting), as reported by ILNA.[1] It was also identified by Asr Asaluyeh as the first media outlet in Bushehr Province to achieve this milestone.[2]
