The Monument to the Friendship between Nukufetau and Nanumea is a small stone structure located in Tuvalu inscribed with an image of a handshake and the words: "NANUMEA NUKUFETAU 24th ME 1890 - 1990 TAUMEANA."[1] It is located on the inhabited Savave islet of the Nukufetau atoll, in the courtyard of a church called Siona Fou.[2] It was constructed to symbolize the bond and collaboration between the Nukufetau and Nanumea atolls.[3] There is an identical monument outside the Chetverkin's Church in Nanumea. Both monument's are near their community's maneapa.[4]
