Golden FEMI Film Festival is an annual International film festival in Bulgaria.[1][2][3][4][5]
History
The festival started in 2022 at the Sofia Balkan Palace.[6] It seeks development of audiovisual presentations of underrepresented groups to target new audiences.[7] Some of the themes include autistic children, environmental protection, women filmmakers, the dispute of domestic violence against women, and stories about people with disabilities.[8] Awards are in 38 categories[6] and in 2024, the ceremony was broadcast in 63 countries.[9]
It's an International platform which allures films with different social themes from all over the world. In 2023, the festival had over 3,000 films in all categories in competition from 125 countries.[8] Efemia Fard is the artistic director.[6][1]
