Choi Wan Gyu ( 최완규, born August 18, 1964) is a South Korean screenwriter.[1] Selected for MBC Best Theater Scenario Contest "Boring love, funny movie" (1993, his screenwriting debut).

Other notable things in his career: He dropped out of Incheon University English Literature Department;[2] In 2008, he was sued for breach of contract by Always Uki Co., Ltd. and ICBN Co., Ltd;[3] In 2022 he was emprisoned[4] (charges not known).[5][6] In 2019 he was listed as a habitual high-amount tax delinquent by the South Korean National Tax Service.[5] In 2018, under the South Korean Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Economic Laws, etc., he was sentenced to two years of probation in prison for charges (possibly fraud and gambling).[5]
