Aleksei Ivanovich Bugayev (Russian: Алексей Иванович Бугаев; born 25 August 1981) is a former Russian association footballer who played defender.
Playing career
Bugayev has played for Tom Tomsk, Torpedo Moscow and Lokomotiv Moscow. In 2004, he was included in the Russia national team and played at Euro 2004.

Personal life
On 28 October 2023, Bugayev was arrested in Krasnodar in possession of 495 grams of mephedrone and he was expected to be charged with illegal drug distribution.[1]
On 24 September 2024, Bugayev was convicted of drug distribution (he pleaded guilty) and was sentenced to 9.5 years of imprisonment.[2]
