Acos District is one of seven districts of the Acomayo Province in Peru.[1]
Geography
One of the highest peaks of the district is Maranniyuq at 4,520 m (14,830 ft). Other mountains are listed below:[2]

Ethnic groups
The people in the district are mainly indigenous citizens of Quechua descent. Quechua is the language which the majority of the population (88.55%) learnt to speak in childhood, 11.11% of the residents started speaking using the Spanish language (2007 Peru Census).[3]
