The Women's Kabaddi League (WKL) is a professional Indian kabaddi league for women which started in 2023. Its first season was contested by eight teams in Dubai,[1][2] with Uma Kolkata beating Punjab Panthers in the final.[3][4]
Season 2 for the league is officially announced to be held in 2025[5] and this time it will be going to happen in India[6]
Teams
The eight teams are Bengaluru Hawks, Delhi Durgas, Gujarat Angels, Haryana Hustlers, Great Marathas, Rajasthan Raiders, Telugu Warriors, and UP Ganga Strikers [7]The winning team earned ₹10,000,000 (US$120,000) while the runner-up earned ₹5,000,000 (US$60,000).[3]
