Vote counter issue
Is there an issue with the vote counter? Showing 1 Neutral comment, however none have been posted. RickinBaltimore (talk) 14:38, 12 August 2020 (UTC)
- RickinBaltimore, seems to be that there is a # symbol in the Neutral section. epicgenius (talk) 15:26, 12 August 2020 (UTC)
- @Cyberpower678: This edit made the bot start counting a neutral vote. It looks like a small bug in the code, but I can't read this particular code well enough to be sure. QuiteUnusual (talk) 16:24, 12 August 2020 (UTC)
- Although, oddly, when I checked earlier there was also one in the oppose section, and it wasn't generating a false oppose. Nosebagbear (talk) 16:31, 12 August 2020 (UTC)

- When there are general comments but no neutrals, the bot reads it as there being one neutral. — J947 ‡ message ⁓ edits 21:29, 12 August 2020 (UTC)
- Fixed. This is a longstanding bug in the tally bot—removing the hash sign (#) in the neutral section fixes the issue. See also Wikipedia talk:Requests for adminship/Cullen328#Glitch in the automated tally?. Mz7 (talk) 22:28, 12 August 2020 (UTC)
