Quality scale
The following values may be used for the class parameter in the {{WikiProject Auckland}} project banner on an article's talk page:

FA (adds articles to Category:FA-Class WikiProject Auckland articles)- A (adds articles to Category:A-Class WikiProject Auckland articles)
GA (adds articles to Category:GA-Class WikiProject Auckland articles)- B (adds articles to Category:B-Class WikiProject Auckland articles)
- C (adds articles to Category:C-Class WikiProject Auckland articles)
- Start (adds articles to Category:Start-Class WikiProject Auckland articles)
- Stub (adds articles to Category:Stub-Class WikiProject Auckland articles)
- List (adds articles to Category:List-Class WikiProject Auckland articles)
- NA (for non-article pages such as templates, WikiProjects, Portals or disambiguation pages, where assessment is unnecessary; adds pages to Category:NA-Class WikiProject Auckland articles). This means "non-article", NOT "not applicable", nor "not assessed".
Importance assessment
An article's importance assessment is generated from the importance parameter in the {{WikiProject Auckland}} project banner on its talk page:

- Top - adds articles to Category:Top-importance WikiProject Auckland articles

- Low - adds articles to Category:Low-importance WikiProject Auckland articles
- Unknown - Any article not rated for importance is automatically added to the Category:Unknown-importance WikiProject Auckland articles.
Importance scale
