To add coordinates and microformats as appropriate
Participants
You don't need to be British to help with this WikiProject. We welcome all registered editors good with layout and prose, and non-British editors who can point out when we've wrongly assumed we don't need to explain or define something for the reader, or failed to properly establish the context of an article.

Interested in canals primarily, but the navigable inland waterway network as a whole. Have made many contributions to Canals of Great Britain and articles linked to from there.
Been tidying up a lot of things on the Lincolnshire Project and that includes several venerable navigation projects. I also have a deep interest in fen drainage, without it I would be underwater. Been interested in Transportation since a boy, and local history.
Andy Mabbett - Founder. Interested in Birmingham/ Black Country canals, and the application of coordinates using the Geo and hCardmicroformats.
BeeTea as a Canadian who has never set foot in the UK, I cannot help much with individual articles, but I am mightily interested in the templates for this and for WP:TRAIL as well because I want to see them ready for roll-out in application to Canadian railways, canals and trails.
Catwhoorg an expat right now, but with a lot of background in the UK waterways, deeper knowledge of the Northern network than the other regions.
Derek Andrews expat now in Canada, formerly restoration volunteer and boater (c1973-c1985), interested in anything canal related, but especially the built heritage.
Lynbarn - Founding member. Interested in, rather than expert in waterways, but keen to learn! Also doing some work with the stripmap templates for rail and waterways.
Dave Mayall Narrowboat Mr Jinks, moored on the Peak Forest Canal, interested in expanding articles in the local area, and in improving image and map content.
Oosoom - currently interested in local history of Birmingham and an old interest in canals.
Rafmarham - Been on hire boat holidays for much of my life.
Renata - Back again after a long absence. Moved from Derbyshire to Edinburgh last Sept. Interests: active canal boater (mainly Union Canal); history etc. of Scottish and other UK canals; UK rivers/waterways; Edinburgh and the Lothians; and more.
Ron Jones Narrowboat "Betsey Trotwood", moored at Whixall Marina on Llangollen Canal, previously at Hallingbury Marina on River Stort - general interest.

Humber - has hardly anything about shipping, or inland commercial working
Illustrations - most pictures seem to come from Geograph, which is good, but there is a contemporary bias. Historic illustrations add depth & interest.
