Suspected sockpuppets

This user switches regularly between the named account and the IP account - seemingly whenever edits are reverted by another user. The pattern this weekend for both accounts is repeated deletion of sourced content (including the references for that content). If you look at the history of Newcastle Airport today, for example, you will see that the named user makes an edit, which I revert, so shortly afterwards the named user stops editing, switches to IP and starts editing again - including re-introducing the same reverted edit made by the named editor.

I would contend that this is one very loudly quacking duck and both the named user and IP have been warned multiple times for disruptive editing to know better. 10mmsocket (talk) 11:04, 31 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I also just added SeanMoulton1997 who apart from the obvious username similarly to the main account named is editing the exact same articles. --10mmsocket (talk) 11:10, 31 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The same account was used - just switching from phone to laptop - that is not an offence. All that was done was removing the phrsae (begins 31 October 2021) as that is today and so is no longer needed. That is not contrary to any offences and feel like this is people who don't understand airlines scheduling. A number of routes were deleted over the weekend from a number of airlines as the Summer 2021 schedule is now over and a number of routes were only temporary for one season. To be accurate, those have been deleted as they are not loaded on airlines websites and apps and are not planned to be resumed. Yet because they have a source (for when they were added), it is apparently an offence to delete them when this is not the case - if they are no longer a route operated, it is in the public interest for them to be removed for accuracy. — Preceding unsigned comment added by SeanM1997 (talk • contribs) 11:09, 31 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Switching between accounts to undo other people's edits multiple times in the same day is plain & simple sockpuppetry. Quack. 10mmsocket (talk) 16:10, 31 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Since the usernames are so similar, and the user does not dispute the connection, I'm going to treat them as legitimate alt accounts, but will give the user some advice on disclosing them properly on their talk page. The logged out editing and edit warring are a issue - that too I will address with a warning. Girth Summit (blether) 16:31, 31 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
