BorgQueen (talk · contribs) – I first encountered BorgQueen reverting some highly dubious changes to the Nostradamus article. Since then, I've noticed her in a couple places, including vandalism reversion and on the 3RR noticeboard, where she put up a 3RR vio on a user I happened to be investigating for the same thing. Looking at her edits, I've seen nothing but goodness from her 2400-odd edits (including some recent tagging of unsourced images, which is always a task that needs doing), and I think she'd make a great asset to Wikipedia as an admin. Despite her rather dubious Borg lineage. :) —BorgHunter (talk) 04:46, 21 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Candidate, please indicate acceptance of the nomination here: I humbly accept the nomination. --BorgQueen 06:13, 21 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

  4. Support – Allowing her to rollback vandalism, block persistant vandals and delete unsourced/copyrighted images will greatly help the project, and I do not belive she will abuse the privilege. That's all I need to know. Raven4x4x 09:26, 21 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

  12. Support I have never known about the candidate. However, after verifying now, I found that every article started by this user is well referenced! It's a sign of full moon; a sing of a good admin. On the other hand, the user also is already experienced how to deal with difficult situations, as answered below. I love it! 13. Support, but who would win a fight with BorgHunter and BorgQueen teamed up against Ëvilphoenix and Deathphoenix? BD2412 T 01:19, 22 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
We'll see. ::cracks knuckles and stares at the phoenixes menacingly:: —BorgHunter (talk) 04:08, 22 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, I wouldn't prepare your assimilation chambers just yet. We'd win hands down, because you'd be busy fighting your prey while we work in unison. --Deathphoenix 14:34, 22 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Come now my partner in crime, we're raptors, we have prey too, and you think Borg won't be able to work in unison? Heloooo? However, we shall prevail in the end, thanks to our Flammable Regeneration capability. Ëvilphoenix Burn! 01:29, 23 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I would like to note that I am not Borg, as I hunt them. So, wait...I'm against BorgQueen? Now I'm confused. —BorgHunter (talk) 04:13, 23 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
You could also be a hunter, who is Borg. Ëvilphoenix Burn! 04:27, 23 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
    I could be, except I'm not. :) —BorgHunter (talk) 04:46, 23 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

However, I'd strongly suggest that you participate in more activity (discussions) in Wikipedia-space, such as the admin's noticeboard, among others, before tackling some of the more "heavy" admin tasks. --Deathphoenix 14:34, 22 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Questions for the candidate
A few generic questions to provide guidance for voters:

1. What sysop chores, if any, would you anticipate helping with? Please check out Category:Wikipedia backlog, and read the page about administrators and the administrators' reading list.
A. I am particularly interested in fighting vandalism; I have nearly 900 articles on my watchlist, and it is my daily task to revert those petty acts done by bored or malicious users, most of them being "anonymous" IP. (I use quote marks because they are not really anonymous - they can be tracked down) Recently I discovered wikipedia has loads of unsourced / unlicensed images, and I am beginning to focus on it. I take this quite seriously since if the copyright owner happens to discover their picture is being distributed through wikipedia, it can cause another trouble for our community. I have participated in AfD, and have been tagging articles that fall under CSD (mostly A1,3,7,8) until one of the recent policy changes made the workload less heavier, then I began to focus on those unsourced / unlicensed images - which is the reason my edit count shows relatively high number of deleted articles. --BorgQueen 06:13, 21 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
2. Of your articles or contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
A. I am a participator in WikiProject Missing encyclopedic articles, and pleased that I am contributing to such project which, I believe, is highly important for the growth of our community resources. I am also member of Counter Vandalism Unit, and have the Defcon on my user page to check that wikipedia is going well, and try to track down repetitive vandals whenever I can. It seems most persistent vandals I've dealt were from proxy servers, which means it cannot be blocked for any time long, so I keep one eye on their contribution list. --BorgQueen 06:13, 21 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
A. Some time ago I was contacted by User:Aaron Brenneman for a mistake I had made, that was moving Alpha on which he had been working to fix double redirections, to Alpha (disambiguation), and he explained why it shouldn't be made that way in the middle of his working, at which I corrected immediately. It must have been irritating to him but he was quite courteous and am still grateful for it. And although I have never made a direct contact with, I was impressed how User:SlimVirgin handles difficult situations and impressed by her patience, civility, and intelligence. What matters, in my opinion, is do not forget civility no matter what situation we are under, for this is wikipedia, the free resource for our planet, and we have every responsibility to keep it clean and sane. And I am proud I can be part of the effort to keep it thus. --BorgQueen 06:13, 21 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
