As much as I like Luigi, I also think that this {{R from incorrect name}} is rather unlikely. The target article is very notable for its actual name, and calling it by the redirect's name is incredibly unlikely. Also, when looking up the redirect using third party search engines, the only precise results that are returned are for an fan-made Flash game. Steel1943 (talk) 21:44, 24 January 2018 (UTC)

(I'm stating this since this opinion does not match my opinion about Super Luigi.) Steel1943 (talk) 22:25, 24 January 2018 (UTC)
- Looking more closely there actually is a Super Luigi Bros. DisambiguateMentioned in New_Super_Mario_Bros._U, JHunterJ Galobtter (pingó mió) 15:59, 1 February 2018 (UTC) Delete per tavix, there are too many possible meanings. Galobtter (pingó mió) 07:11, 2 February 2018 (UTC)- Delete to reveal search results. The current target is unhelpful as there is no discussion of "boost mode" there (it's briefly mentioned at PlayStation 4 system software, but not enough to identify what it is/does). As pointed out above, a few games have a boost mode that's mentioned on Wikipedia, including: Slither.io, Guilty Gear Isuka, DoDonPachi DaiFukkatsu, etc. Other search results using Wikipedia's search feature include everything from hardware to vehicles to exhaust hoods. I can't see a disambiguation catching all this, as the uses don't really cover what disambiguations are for. We'd have to have a list of video games that have a boost mode, as well as several other extremely minor uses. With 35 results for "boost mode", it seems easier and more efficient to simply let the reader search. -- Tavix (talk) 18:01, 1 February 2018 (UTC)

- W. Homer Axford → d:Q47462594 (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: //delete ]
Several days following my comments at Talk:W. Homer Axford without response, I'm posting this redirect here for discussion on the grounds that I see no reason to have a soft redirect to a Wikidata entry, something that appeared to be unique among articles in Category:Wikipedia interwiki soft redirects (though, since then, the same author has created 15 or so other of these, and it looks like he created one before this one). (Conversely, if we think this is valuable, would it make sense for someone to create a bot that will find all biographical entries at Wikidata that don't already have corresponding articles on Wikipedia and create soft redirects for them?) Largoplazo (talk) 12:53, 24 January 2018 (UTC)
- Keep Created as one of a dozen choices for an open RFC on how to link to Wikidata for people that appear in Wikipedia charts, where the biographical data is too thin for a standalone article. The debate is at WP:MoS on the talk page. Wikidata uniquely identifies this person and would link to other Wikiprojects that may have more information, such as Wikimedia Commons. The Wikidata Q-number can also be used by external sources to uniquely identify him. VIAF links to our Wikidata system and the Library of Congress links to Wikidata from their image identification project at Flickr Commons. The urls listed at Wikidata for W. Homer Axford link to an image, and to his obituary in the New York Times and to him in the draft registration at Wikimedia Commons. If the amount of material grows, a full Wikipedia article can be started. --RAN (talk) 13:38, 24 January 2018 (UTC)

- Move Defunct (video game) to Defunct. While "defunct" is a common word, it is also important to recognize that Wikipedia is not a dictionary. That being said, I would support a hatnote to the Wiktionary entry to catch those looking for the definition. -- Tavix (talk) 21:12, 13 January 2018 (UTC)
- Move with hatnote to Wiktionary, per Tavix. It might be mildly astonishing to not be taken to a general-concept or even disambiguation page, but that's what hatnotes are for. — PinkAmpers&(Je vous invite à me parler) 13:50, 20 January 2018 (UTC)
- Well, most of the meanings of this word are too generic (and too dictionary-like) to try accommodating here, but at least one is specific and encyclopedic enough to enter into the equation: the computing one covered at Zombie process. No sources to indicate that this is the common abbreviation for the show. No DID 2, DID 3, DID 4 either. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 01:42, 13 January 2018 (UTC)
- DID 5 is an abbreviation of fifth season of Indian dance reality television series Dance India Dance.
- Just like:
Serial no Show abbreviation 1 Dance India Dance (season 1) DID 1 2 Dance India Dance (season 2) DID 2 3 Dance India Dance (season 3) DID 3 4 Dance India Dance (season 4) DID 4 5 Dance India Dance (season 5) DID 5 6 Dance India Dance (season 6) DID 6
- But there is no separate article of these shows without Dance India Dance (season 5). All the shows are redirected into Dance India Dance, that's why there is no pages for DID 1, DID 2, DID 3, DID 4 & DID 6. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sishaykh (talk • contribs) 21:46, 13 January 2018 (UTC)

- I still don't see why we now need redirects from every Engrish version of a word that was long since properly translated. "Aerith" is arguably a lot more significant as that is *literally* the Japanese translation of her name, and she is often still referred to as "Aerith" in the modern day. "Zebeth" is just a mistranslation and "Zebes" is the Japanese name, it hasn't been called "Zebeth" since the original Metroid.ZXCVBNM (TALK) 22:50, 7 January 2018 (UTC)

- They seem G5 eligible to me since these are from 2014. The sockmaster account, Bambifan101~enwiki (talk · contribs), was blocked in 2008. I think you were looking at Bambifan101 (talk · contribs), which was created after SUL in 2015. I can run my script to get a list of all redirects created by MadisonGrundtvig and then batch-delete them. That should help figure out what, if any, is left to discuss. -- Tavix (talk) 17:35, 24 January 2018 (UTC)
- @Tavix: Per your discovery, by all means, WP:G5 them. I think the only three that were not created by that sock are Bowser Junior's Robot Reactor, Bowser Jr's Robot Reactor and Honeyhive galaxy (lowercase "g"); the first two were created by LukeSurl and the last one by Junotoad. - Done. I got 534 results, and they can be found (for now) at User:Tavix/MadisonGrundtvig. -- Tavix (talk) 18:08, 24 January 2018 (UTC)

- Delete everything that is left - Per WP:GAMEGUIDE. I agree that all the 534 deleted redirects previously are all implausible and should remain deleted.ZXCVBNM (TALK) 18:45, 24 January 2018 (UTC)
- Just to note, not all 534 redirects are related to this discussion. -- Tavix (talk) 18:55, 24 January 2018 (UTC)
