• Book cover is uploaded as "own work", and is licensed using "Creative Commons CC0 1.0 Universal Public Domain Dedication", but there is no evidence of OTRS permission verifying that the uploader is indeed the original copyright holder or that the original copyright holder has agreed to freely license the image. The same licensing rationale is also being used for File:Mouseheart, Hopper's Destiny Vol 2.jpeg and File:Mouseheart, Return of the Forgotten Vol 3.jpeg which were also uploaded by the same editor. • This file copied from here, was previously uploaded by User:Kreplach123 as "a file from a free published source" with Vidyasagar University described as the author and the right-holder. Note that according to the university website, "Copyright of all material on this website... (unless otherwise indicated) is held by vidyasagar University. The express permission of the Copyright holder must be obtained for any use of this material other than for purposes permitted by law. "

After the file was speedy-deleted as a copyvio, the user re-uploaded it as the claimed copyright holder, with rationale "I, Kreplach123, uploaded it on the Vidyasagar University (used as source previously) website and this image belongs to me." Incidentally the image has also been spammed on over a dozen wikipedia pages by the uploader and some IPs. Would like the authorship and copyright status of the image reviewed. Hi, I indeed did nominate the image for CSD based on the claim of ownership and the contradiction on the Vidyasagar University website copyright page. The user claims to own the image, however we would need proof that he took this image. I would guess it is from 1930 - 50s given the subjects birthdate.
