Schedule
From 10 am to 1 pm, please feel free to drop in to the Michelle Smith Collaboratory, where we will be focusing on creating new articles and improving existing biographies of women artists whose work is found in one of three collections at the University of Maryland: The Art Gallery, Stamp Student Union, and the Driskell Center. All are welcome, and your contributions are highly valued.
Questions?

- Do I need to have extensive knowledge on visual arts? Nope! You will be finding information about the artists through our resources. The important thing is knowing how to choose a good source to get your information from.

List of articles we will be working on
Volunteers should feel free to add the names of notable women in the arts who need a better Wikipedia presence, especially ones represented by works in one of three permanent collections on the University of Maryland campus: University of Maryland Art Gallery, Contemporary Art Purchasing Program (CAPP) collection of the Adele H. Stamp Student Union, and David C. Driskell Center. The list provides a starting point for work by edit-a-thon participants, either by researching and writing new articles (biographies) or expanding and improving existing articles (biographies) of women on this list. If you are not sure where to start, don't hesitate to ask for help! Please add the #ArtAndFeminism tag to all edits on Wikipedia made for this event.
To see some useful resources for artists in the UMD Art Gallery and Driskell Center collections, see [1] (a resource in progress) and for resources on the artists in the Contemporary Art Purchasing Program Collection (CAPP) at the Adele H. Stamp Student Union, see [2] (also a resource in progress).
