Where is the issue taking place?

Who's involved?

Prokonsul Piotrus and Ghirla, as well as their assorted supporters and detractors, and a few interlopers trying desperately to be neutral and diplomatic.

What's going on?

Basically they're just yelling the same things at each other that's been going on forever, i.e. calling each other trolls and nationalist POV vandals. Incivility, as well as accusations of past incivility, is flying. The combatants are accusing each other of gathering meatpuppets, misusing notice boards, stalking, and vandalism. A lot of this argument is only intensified by the fact that Piotrus is Polish and Ghirla is Russian, and Russian-Polish relations in the real world are completely in the toilet right now. Piotrus, as usual, is being accused of leading some sinister Polish Cabal. It's very ugly, I could go on for pages about it but I really don't want to.

What would you like to change about that?

Get these two combatants to bury the hatchet, sign a treaty, agree to mutual non-aggression, etc.!!!

Please do not announce on the RfC page that you are from the Mediation Cabal--we don't need any more accusations of cabalism on that page. For contacting me, my talk page is fine, though I might not be able to respond immediately.

This case is highly unlikely to be amenable to informal mediation. Parties have been subject to numerous unsuccessful mediations; Ghirla is very suspicious of the mediation cabal; the dispute has been going on for years. This fight will most likely continue until one of the parties leaves Wikipedia. I recommend declining the case. --Ideogram 15:09, 20 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
