Wikipedia:Editor review/Millbrooky

Millbrooky (talk · contribs · count) I have been a registered user on Wikipedia for over 4 years during which time I have made almost 8,000 contributions. As for this editor review, I guess I'm just looking for a small pat on the back and possibly some guidance on other areas of Wikipedia that I may be able to help with. Questions

  1. What are your primary contributions to Wikipedia? Are there any about which you are particularly pleased? Why?
The great majority of my editing contributions were in 2008 when I tagged and assessed thousands of articles for WikiProject St. Louis and WikiProject Missouri. During that time, I also contributed 5 articles to Did You Know and 1 featured list. Since actively returning to Wikipedia, I have added another DYK and am working on bringing at least a pair of lists to featured status. Aside from my content contributions, I occasionally participate at DYK and AFD and patrol the odd new article or two.
  2. Have you been in any disputes over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
The Missouri, St. Louis, and rapid transit related article I have on my watchlist are relatively stress free. My only stress recently has been how to handle the content contributions of an eager and relatively new editor without degrading the quality of the articles (St. Louis public transit) to which he contributes.

Reviews

Hallo, and apologies for the wait. This might be a bit brief, I don't know, I don't regularly do editor reviews, so I'm never quite sure what people expect.

  • First thing that strikes me is how many of your edits are to talk pages; I assume that's because of the talk page taggings you mentioned. I like that; show's a willingness to do smaller, gnome type edits, which are valuable, but often not appreciated. That said, you've also got several DYK's and a featured list to your credit, so you obviously know how to create content, which is obviously important.
  • Edit summary usage is impressive--nearly 100%, so excellent work on that.
  • From what I can see, you've not had many problems with conflicts, and seem like a pretty calm person. The comments that I can find, at your talk page or in general, show evidence of thought and are written clearly; kudos.
  • Suggestions...well, as far as I can tell, you're on a perfectly good path right now; there's nothing you need to change. If you want, the only thing I can think of offhand would be to maybe get involved in Wikipedia-space work; a lot of people like to see evidence that you've been engaged in policy discussion or whatnot. (Note I'm an awful example of that, so make of it what you will...) That's about all I can think of; feel free to ask here or at my talk page if you're interested in getting any more feedback.
