Overturn-While I'm not familiar enough with copyright law to render an opinion on the issues here, it does appear complex enough to warrant a full discussion rather than the summary deletion it received.--Fyre2387 ^{(talk • contribs)} 21:35, 8 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Comment This file was speedy deleted as WP:CSD#F1 in the course of the discussion at WP:Possibly_unfree_files/2010_May_13#File:2919_East_29th_Avenue_plaque.JPG on the supposed grounds that it was redundant to File:2104 East 19th Avenue plaque.JPG which is currently up for discussion at WP:Possibly_unfree_files/2012_September_9#File:2104_East_19th_Avenue_plaque.JPG on the grounds that the copy made to Commons by the present nominator has been nominated for deletion on Commons at Commons:Commons:Deletion requests/File:BC Electric Building plaque.JPG because it is claimed it is two dimensional. Endorse Commons has accepted that the images are not free and they were deleted here on that basis. Bulswersator's comment there was "So my assumption was wrong and the images should go. Don't undelete Canadian FOP only covers artistic works, but the text on the plaque is a literary work. Therefore, it isn't covered by Canadian FOP. --Stefan2 (talk) 08:47, 22 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
