For trial, bot will need +confirmed, +eventcoordinator. — xaosflux Talk 02:41, 24 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
- @Xaosflux: Approved for trial (25 accounts). Please provide a link to the relevant contributions and/or diffs when the trial is complete.. Flagging confirmed & eventcoordinator once this edit is saved (for ES). --TheSandDoctor Talk 04:58, 24 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
- (I'm helping mentor TheSandDoctor offwiki) I think that an initial short trial the right way to go. We can chase out any potential technical issues this way - and as this is a very trusted editor, and an experienced botop, we should be able to quickly approve if all goes well. - Thank you, will report back once trials are able to show results - next step are some dashboard back-end updates that Sage (Wiki Ed) will do. — xaosflux Talk 12:40, 24 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
- Hey all. Jumping in here as I helped add this feature. Sage and I just set it up so that outreachdashboard.wmflabs.org will use the OutreachDashboardBot as a backup account creator when the original account is throttled. You can see the first accounts created with a regular account here and the OutreachDashboardBot working here.--Wes (Wiki Ed) (talk) 19:32, 24 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

- See example of accounts made: Special:Log/OutreachDashboardBot. — xaosflux Talk 23:39, 24 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
- The bot took over once the throttle kicked in, per the design, accounts made prior to throttle: here. — xaosflux Talk 23:41, 24 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
- Trial complete. (note, this code is still in production - we can rip it out if this is denied or causing issues while this is pending closure). The tests were successful. The second trial run was a batch of 8 users, the first 4 were created by the requester directly (see log here) at which point the normal throttle was in affect so the bot took over here: Special:Log/OutreachDashboardBot. Please let me know if there is anything else you would like to see on this @TheSandDoctor and SQL:. Thank you! — xaosflux Talk 16:53, 26 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
- There are discussions on English Wikipedia and Meta-Wiki about this bot and tool and function. I am happy to see this advance. Blue Rasberry (talk) 12:38, 29 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
